After 15 years experience in mining research, with applications in coal, salt rock, complex and uranium ores, supervising of industrial experiments, numerical modeling of rock support, rock structure interaction and effect of excavation under environment, analysis and interpretation of full-scale in situ tests and parameters monitoring, dr. Deák is author of more than 60 scientific studies and technical reports, 40 scientific publications and 6 patents. He also has experience in technical and scientific evaluations and project management. The most important achievement is DKRControl method for collapse prediction, stability computation and risk in mining activity.
Other representative achievements are: capability to perform short- and long-term prediction of underground cavities stability using numerical modeling, decisional analysis to choose appropriate engineering solutions, continuous and discontinuous in situ parameters monitoring, laboratory experiments and management of R&D project resources.

Main objective:
Analiza volumului informational privind inertizarea deseurilor cu continut de metale grele si depozitarea acestora;
Information regarding waste with heavy metal content inertisation and deposit assessment;

Solutii de inertizare a deseurilor solide cu continut de metale grele;
Solid waste with heavy metal content inertisation technologies;

Elaborarea unui sistem da management al deseurilor periculoase cu continut de metale grele care sa includa inventarierea si monitorizarea acestora la nivel national, colectarea, inertizarea si depozitarea produsului rezultat prin inertizare;
Solid waste with heavy metal content management that include their national evidence, monitoring, collecting, inertisation and storage;

Realizarea unei instalatii pilot de inertizare a deseurilor periculoase cu continut de metale grele intr-un sit minier- test in vederea depozitarii in goluri subterane, experimentari si demonstrarea viabilitatii solutilor propuse.
Pilot installation for solid waste with heavy metal content inertisation and underground depositing tests in order to assess proposal fiability.

Specific objectives:
STAGE 1

ANALIZA VOLUMULUI INFORMAŢIONAL PRIVIIND TEHNOLOGIA DE INERTIZARE A DESEURIILOR PERICULOASE
1.1 Identificarea şi analiza critică a soluţiilor de inertizare utilizate pe plan mondial
1.2 Determinarea parametrilor care trebuie urmăriţi pentru evaluarea stabilităţii fizico-chimice a deşeurilor
1.3 Identificarea mecanismului de alterare fizico-chimică, mecanică şi biologică a deşeurilor
1.4 Selectarea unei metode de inertizare fezabile
1.5 Inventarierea tipurilor de deşeuri periculoase din România care se pretează la inertizare
1.6 Diseminarea pe plan national si international a rezultatelor CD.
